BEQUESTS
A charitable bequest is one of the simplest forms of gifting to St. Max and can leave a lasting impact on our parish.
BENEFITS OF A BEQUEST
Estate Benefits
You receive a charitable deduction on your estate tax
Tax Benefits
Bequests reduce the burden of taxes in your legacy to family members
Legacy Benefits
You leave a lasting legacy to St. Maximilian Kolbe Church and the community she supports
With the help of an attorney, you can customize the language in your will/trust that specifies gifting to family, friends, church, and more as part of your estate planning. Alternatively, you can make a bequest through a beneficiary designation form.
HOW TO MAKE A BEQUEST
Your bequest can be made in several ways - through a percentage (a portion of your estate), a specific (a specific dollar amount) or residual (from the balance/residue of your estate) bequest. Work with your attorney to find the best fit for you and your family.
Will or Irrevocable Trust
You can include a bequest to St. Max in your will or trust
Savings
You can include St. Max as a beneficiary to your retirement account (401(k), IRA, 403(b) or pension plans)
Insurance
You can include St. Max as a beneficiary to a life insurance policy
